Here’s a quick mid-month update from Garibaldi.
Pink Day Acceptance Dance- Wednesday 17th February
The day has finally arrived! This Wednesday 17th February the students who will be participating in the dance will be eating their lunch early and leaving school with Ms. Thomas at 11:30am to walk to the Coliseum. If you have purchased a ticket for your child to come and watch the dance, let us know if they need to eat an early lunch with us. If you are taking your child out of school to watch, then please sign them out at the office so that their teacher knows they have left with you. Parents will be responsible for their child if they are not participating in the dance and coming to watch. Dancers will be receiving their pink T-shirts and tickets on Wednesday morning. Pink T- shirts that were ordered for other family members were sent home last week. Thank you for your support.
Division One field trip to Grouse Mountain- Monday 22nd February
Thank you to all parent volunteers and drivers. Please ensure students are dressed appropriately for the mountain weather.
Pink Day- Wednesday 24th February
Please remember to wear pink on Pink Shirt Day. By wearing pink, our school communities give a message of inclusiveness- a place where staff, students and family members who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer can feel valued and supported.
IMPORTANT DATE FOR YOUR DIARY- FRIDAY 4TH MARCH 2016 ALL VSB SCHOOLS ARE CLOSED FOR STUDENTS FOR A TEACHER TRAINING DAY ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NEW BC CURRICULUM.
